Session 4:The Road to Rodia

*to Boris*

"Is she nice?"

"Do you like home cooked meals gossip about every one in the extended clan history, embarrassing baby photos of my cousins, and someone who will critique the way you dress to make you more professional?"
Boris leaves out that she has several grandchildren that frequently visit and is most likely in charge of several of several spy networks after all that should be obvious.
"She is a stately woman with many connections. In all odds I would not be surprised if she knows everything you have eaten in the last year. Somehow I don't think the word nice is what comes to mind. I should probably tell Talik that arraignments have been made"
Boris heads off to find Talik.

Jowmum wasn't watching and bumped into Boris while he was on the way in.

*embarrassed binary interjection*

Sorry.

"Then I'll be sure to keep my hands to myself while we're there," Hailey says before Boris leaves.

Blows raspberries and then nearly trips on JM.
"One thing at a time. JM..."
Boris pauses for composure.
"Could you plot us a course to Bothawui and entertain Hailey? I would to tell Talik I have some good news for her. Oh we should prepare to take off ASAP to avoid any more unpleasantness."
Boris hurries off to find Talik acting a little nervous.

After Boris goes off...

I suppose.

Feeling a little dejected, Jowmum starts plotting a course in his head. He tries to put on a happy mask and rolls into the lounge where Hailey is.

Boris sent me to entertain you.

His voice is still slightly lower and slower than usual.

Hailey turns on the Dejarik table. "Would you like first move?"

Jowmum pulls up his Dejarik net. He doesn't delegate enough clock cycles to play his best, though.

"Move?" Hailey prompts.

"Hey Talik ready to see a bright new world?"
Boris states
"I have a cargo lined up plus lodging and food so lets let this place cool off a little bit."

Wha? Oh, ya.

Jowmum makes a decent first move.

Hailey's first move takes out both of JM's lowest powered pieces.

Jowmum is mostly making random moves by mid-game.

"Oh come on! It's like you're not even trying." Hailey takes out his highest powered piece.

I have a lot on my CPU.

Jowmum spots a tricky maneuver and slices a crippling blow to Hailey's mid-power piece

Hailey winces as the holographic monster brutally croaks and fades from the board. "Oh? Just what does trouble a robot these days?"

Boris make a note to get an specialized cleaning solution in the future and then helps.

As they work on the last patch together, Tali asks Boris.
Hey, any idea what's eating JM? He seemed kinda down about something, but didn't wanna talk outside.

Forgetting it is still his turn,

For one, I have already started the hyperspace calculations. Those are taking priority over the game.

"So is something else..." Hailey starts contemplating her next move.

Hailey is the least appropriate person to talk to about what is on my mind, yet she is the only one who has the time.

Jowmum waits so long, the board moves for him.

The game computer makes a move with similar strategical substance as most of Jowmum's previous moves this game. In other words, a rather stupid move. Hailey kills another of JM's pieces. "It is your turn."

Jowmum offends the board so badly, his remaining three his pieces start bickering among themselves and they fall dead.
