Session 4:The Road to Rodia

Never mind about what I said earlier, but the holonet on Bothawui still sounds like a place to be careful. Carry on.

I was just informing W9 and J9 on our topic of conversation. Do you think it would be safe for me to make a little money on the side by selling information? Possibly Dobah's ship and password? It would be a shame if it were to go to total waste.

*Mechanical grin*

OOC:

"Wait you said that you disguised yourself as a Bothan?"
Boris cocks his head.
"How did you manage that?"

"I said Maritri disguised us as Bothans. Don't ask me how she did it, but I remember it involved more cosmetics than I think I could've stuffed into my entire ship." *Begins making gestures to illustrate the make up job.* "There was like, a fixture she put all over our heads, and that became how we moved our prosthetic mouths. It was the hardest part, I think. Then she just started caking this paste all over me, had me close my eyes, sprayed me all over with some sort of paint... I don't remember everything, but by the time she was done I swear I was ready to introduce myself to the stranger in the mirror. We had to stick together while we were there, otherwise we would have lost each other for good."

Zukata, who had been listening in, takes the opportunity to interject:

"If I may: I think we should be careful at Bothawui... While it is a "civilized: world, not everyone may be helpful or sympathetic... And as I'm sure Boris could confirm, there are many different factions, each with their own agendas and motives, political and otherwise... I suggest we spend as little time there as possible... I am extremely grateful to you all for finding Godon before he turned himself into a DEAD coward, and also for offering both of us passage to Rodia... And while I don't have credits to pay you with, I feel obligated to share what I know. I think your droid should talk to the Siniteen... They are one of the races that inhabit the same sector of space as Rodia... Basically walking organic supercomputers... If any race would know how to upload a wookie consciousness to a droid, or how to emulate a highly advanced Wookie AI, it would be them... Might be better than taking our chances with the Bothans. No offense to Boris, but my experience with Bothans suggest that they might easily turn, me, Godon, Hailey, or anyone else with even a remote criminal background over to the empire if they thought it might score them any political favors... And for good honest jobs and cargo, I have a friend who owns a space station orbiting Rodia who can help you out. I'll be sure to give you a glowing recommendation. He ought to listen. Godon and I actually come from one of the more powerful clans on Rodia, which is why we are fluent in basic and free to come and go as we please..."

"Nice."
Boris stands
"Well I have to write my reports. And I am going to check the ship for anything amiss Thank you. For that information."

Jowmum suddenly announces: Standby to exit Hyperspace.

*in a little less grandiose voice,*

We should come out on a landing trajectory.

*turns to Hailey*

I told you there was more than Dejarik on my mind.

"Whatever." Hailey looks out the front window to watch the hyperspace tunnel disolve back into stars.

Hailey helps guide the ship to their assigned landing pad, in the same town or district as where Boris's aunt lives. "Welcome to Bothawui. JM, would you go get Boris please? I know he's probably only half done with his reports, but the rest of us don't exactly know our way around here. If anyone needs me, I'll be doing my make-up." *Whispers to Tali as she finishes all the post flight checks.* "Do you have any cosmetics I could borrow for a while? All of mine went down with my ship."

Jowmum extracts Boris from his reports so we can do our business here and get out.

Boris, Boris! You are needed as a guide for our brief stay here. You will have plenty of time for reports while we are on the way to Rodia. In light of the hurry we are in, I have already started the next set of hyperspace calculations.

Jowmum also adds: And I am staying off the holonet as per your request, so I will need you to search for some buyers for me.

Don't worry, I checked the itinerary while I was finalizing the calculations. It is just something to do in the background while I am NOT surfing the holonet. Maybe I can work on my programming instead.

The sound of motors going is followed by a slight "Ka-chunk" as the ship extends its landing gear and touches down.

We've landed in Drev'starn. C'mon let's get going.

We have landed in Drev'starn. If you wish to disembark here, please speak with Tali. You have 1 hour and 40 minutes to finish deciding. If you do go, don't forget to see us off.

"Has anyone told you that patience is a virtue? I was planning on taking you to data specialist while we were here. Oh look there is my aunt."
Boris waves and projects friendliness at his aunt.
"Hey Aunt thanks for meeting us we are just stopping to pick up some food and cargo and check out some information about some leads."

Jowmum tips his hat to Boris's aunt as we approach her, then puts it back.

When Hailey reappears, she is slightly paler that before. Her hair is braided and there's a hint of blush on her cheeks. Her utility belt and vest seem to be missing, probably stored in her room on the ship. Only the keenest of JM's sensors detect that she still has her blaster, though it is now hidden inside the left armpit of her coat.

Hailey adjusts her own hat according to the light level; pulls it up if it is bright or pushes it back if it is dark or overcast. "Hello Ms. Boris's Aunt. How would you prefer that I address you?"

"Hello Deary you may call me the Matron"
She dips her head.
"I hear you may like to experience some local food?"

"Yes please, Matron." Hailey returns the slight bow. "Anything you can recommend; I am feeling brave today."
