Session 3: Nepata (Another Blunder)

OOC: Jowmum did his retcon shopping during his search for Tali and Hailey. The appropriate post has been edited.

*Message Boris*

Someone gassed the shop Tali and Hailey were in! Everyone is passed out! Put the books on hold and come help me drag everyone out of the shop.

He goes back in and ejects 43 credits for his fedora in a place the sisters will find after they wake up. Not that they will remember, anyway. He then starts dragging Tali out of the shop.

*Jowmum
"What??? why?!? Are you completely insane??"
Security systems goes right to the top.
He also checks to make sure he has is breath mask ready.

*message Boris while he has Tali half way to the door.*

Maybe, but I just know there was just a gas attack and we have a chance to be minor heroes.

*Jowmum
"We are going to talk about this later."

*Message Boris*

If you don't come, I will end up dragging everyone out of here by myself. And yes, we can talk about this back on the ship.

"Argg coming"
Boris puts the books down.
"Heh looks like. I will be back."
Boris to the clothing store.

Jowmum has Tali out by the time Boris arrives. He gives him an glance and gestures with his new hat, (binary) "Hailey is still inside." before before going back in to drag out the smallest person he can find.

Tali drug induced dream

Plants surround her, twilight seems eternal on this planet. Everything that lives has bio-luminescent patterns. The fractal branches of the trees seem to split eternally, mesmerisingly. Birds swirl in great flocks, moving as a single amorphous creature. The soft grass and warm air beckon Tali to keep sleeping, and she whole-heartedly complies... (to be continued)

Boris puts on his mask and grabs Hailey. Then goes back in to rescue more people.

Jowmum pulls a snoozing jawa from the building, then goes back to the secluded corner for his friends.

While being dragged outside, Hailey mumbles something that sounds like, "Hey... slop pushing..."

Which store did Jowmum visit? "The toolbox" or "Balisk's Droid Emporium", or both? If both, which one does he go to first? (Don't worry... Remember, no matter what happens, you ended up in one piece at the Outfitters...)

OOC:Jowmum visited the shops in counterclockwise order.

He would have stayed long enough in each one long enough to establish their absence in the ones he was uninterested in.

OOC: Sigh... OK, here we go... Luckily, by coincidence that path takes you the the "Droid Emporium" first...


Jowmum rolls up to the shop and interfaces with the door to open it... He finds himself staring at five copies of himself... Maybe that "virus" hit me harder than I thought.... But Jowmum soon realizes that he is looking at his twins, not himself... They are all deactivated... A Quarren glares down at him. "You can tell your master that we don't offer refunds. And if he or she has a problem with your quirks he or she should have examined you more carefully before buying you. No, I'm not going to give you an oil bath just because you returned. Repairs aren't free here..." He babbles on, assuming you were a droid he previously sold...

"I can do minor repairs or modifications, though, if your master has an account with us or has given you sufficient credits to pay for them... And I have some emergency repair patches, too [droid equivalent of a stimpack to restore HP without a mechanics roll]..."

An average (♦♦) streetwise roll will reveal some additional services/goods for sale...

Jowmum uses his basic once the doors are shut.

I am neither from your shop, nor do I have a master. I am looking for a couple girls I was traveling with. A green, Tawick teenager, and a slim human.

[Back to the present]... Jowmum and Boris drag Hailey and Talik over to Dr. Mureem's office and give a condensed account....

As the Dr. goes back to retrieve some ammonia capsules, Jowmum sees a new notice on the holonet...

[Watch Your Back!!!! "Watch Your Back Outfitters was recently attacked by an unknown terrorist who released a nonfatal mixture of anaesthetic and avabush on store goers. The motive is unknown, and nothing was stolen, but authorities suspect a Xenophobic Ubese gang that has been spotted harassing spacegoers in the general area. Citizens are advised to report to their homes for their safety until authorities can look into this matter more fully...]

Outside the med center, a small crowd has gathered around "Watch Your Back"... A rodian policeman accompanied by a Dug are interviewing the sisters who don't remember anything that happened in the last two hours, or anyone or anything unusual...

Dr. Mureen returns...

Talik's dream is interrupted by a sharp, acrid, smell that overpowers her senses for a moment... Her head throbs painfully...

Hailey is next... "Oww...ch"

Both are in a rather confused state, but they are awake...

Jowmum dispenses 30 credits for the treatment of his friends.

As Hailey hangs her head, a nice looking fedora falls in her lap. "What's this? I like it, but I don't remember buying it." Just in case, she checks her purse, which produces an expression of raised eyebrows.
