Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda

Ishwarr finds a pile of multicolored wax where he left his crayons. A few bits of charred paper are still visible in the pile.

"Everyone please prepare for the jump to Hyperspace." A short while later, and the ship is back on its way to Nar Shadda.

(ishwarr screams ) "those were my only crayons"!!!

Jowmum is back in the cockpit working on the laptop.

It would seem Ishwarr has noticed the crayons he left by the stove. I saw they were on fire when I put the kitchen out.

Smelling smoke and hearing screaming, I come running. I gape in horror at the mess, smoke and oil everywhere, pans warping and cracking, even a box of crayons melted all over a cabinet.
THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!
I take a few deeep breaths, choke a little, and attempt to go for the bitter-sweet approach.
Jow, thank you for the sandwich, but you've lost your solo cooking privileges. Thank you, Ishvaar, for being the the first one who attempted to help Jow, but grease and oil fires can't be put out by water. Two wookies are too many. I suppose I could always power down Jow, but that wouldn't be nice, and I've got to find a way to tempering Ishvaar's short attention or I'm going to be out a ship before I own it!

I slap my forehead and wipe my hand down my face.
Can't believe I'm starting to pick up on what the furball's hollering about
Bust up the wax puddle and sort the pieces by color as best you can, I'll work on a mold so we can remelt them into usable shapes. I'm sure Hailey, Boris or I would be happy to tutor you in proper cooking techniques. I'd like to avoid this *gesture widely at the whole mess of a kitchen* from re-occurring.

(ishwarr starts sorting the crowns) "could i at least get help from jowmum i did put out his fire actually more of an attempt but that's not my point"

Jowmum is too busy focusing intently on the laptop to acknowledge anyone trying to talk to him, in fact, he set up a little program to auto reply,

I am busy cleaning up 3D's software. This may take a while.

If the message plays three times within a minute, the fourth trigger will instead encode it in Morse Code (or equivalent) and send it through a series of pulses to the cockpit gravity plates. (unless gravity plates don't work that way in Star Wars, in which case something equally annoying happens)

(ishwarr decides to just do it himself ) "this is worse than picking up legos "

After the ship is well underway again, Hailey comes down to see what all t-

"What in the-!"

She stifles a scream. Her face reddens, and she starts trying to help clean up. "Looks like we're all going to be sick of rations for a while. At least we won't starve, and we were almost out of cooking ingredients anyway." Hailey sighs as she picks up the remains of a frying pan.

Hailey's volume triggers Jowmum's auto reply.

I am busy cleaning up 3D's software. This may take a while.

"Yeah, DON'T mention it." Hailey thinks for a moment... "Unless I should blame Jowmum."

After the kitchen is relatively clean if not functional again...

"Alright you big fuzz ball," Hailey turns to Ishwarr. "I'm going to my room to write a letter home, and I'm going to need at least an hour of peace and quiet to compose. Please try to stay out of trouble until then. You have this one chance; I'm willing to show you where anything at all is on this ship. I don't think we have crayons, but there are a couple of pens. Tali, help me out in the event he asks for a word I don't recognize."

Boris takes several moments to reflect on the past few days. He stifles laughter at the ladies outrage at the machination of the Wookies. Afterward he does the math and writes an invoice for the damages to Jowmum and Ishwarr to present to Talik next pay day. Then he collects the crew not sealed in their room for the Funeral of the poor unfortunate Gand.

Jowmum attends the funeral for the lost miners. He tells everyone it looks like 3D was under someone else's control when he acted out. The repairs aren't complete, but there is hope. He makes a recording in case the ghost of 3D is still interested once he is revived.

After the funeral...

Anyway, after the funeral, Ishwarr is given a guided tour of the ship, everyone pointing out all the little bits he might never be interested in. He now knows were most anything is, and where most of the hiding places are, except where Hailey keeps her 'Impossibly thick Stack of Paper and a Pen that Never Runs Dry'. That being said, there are probably more than a handful of hiding places Hailey knows about or knows she can invent at a moment's notice that she won't show to anyone except Tali.

When the tour is over, Hailey goes to her room to write home.

"hey jowmum lets play hide and go seek im going to  try to get boris to play to" (hes yelling it)

The comm is still dead as Jowmum has neglected to fully end the lockdown.

For the record: we spaced the body in orbit so we wouldn't have to smell it all the way to Nar Shadda. We are having the memorial for all the lost miners.

Boris Decides to play hide and seek and makes Ishwarr it. While Ishwarr is counting Boris dons a space suit and hides in the shuttle dock.
He then settles down just outside the airlock to write his report.

(ishwarr runs around the ship confused ) "maybe hes in the air vents " (ishwarr finds the nearest air vent )
