Well, at least if he doesn't come in the cockpit he won't be messing too much stuff up. Oh, you had better not interfere with my scan, or a malicious program can move and I will have to start again.
Very well, just don't provoke anyone, and remember the rule of three.

Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
Jacob/Tali'k check your PM for what happened.
In response to Hailey's suggestion, 3D-4K responds:
"Have you told the miners yet? Before I shut down, I'd like to speak to them. And it would also be nice to have my chronometer reinstalled first as well. I understand your mistrust. But I don't entirely trust you either. Without my chronometer, you could shut me down for a year, and tell me it was only a few minutes. And you HAVE stolen a significant amount of credits, if I may point out..."
[I missed what Jowmum is scanning?]

Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
"Ok, first of all, who told you about the money? And second, why do you assume we've stolen it?" Hailey grunts impatiently as Boris is checking over Tali. "Never mind. No, you may not see the miners, but for what it's worth, I'll let you re-install your clock."
I don't answer to you, Mr. Droid. And until we've dumped you and your friends off somewhere and split without giving anyone a dime, I for one don't count that cash as stolen. It's certainly safer in the (recently modified) ship's vault than that rusty old box you boys called a safe. Things have been a bit crazy today and yesterday to even talk about the money.

Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
"No one told me. But I'm nobody's fool. The safe informed me it had been tampered with. I received the message when you rebooted me. And given the time stamp on the message, and the fact that you said a Hutt sent you, I have a pretty good idea of what happened."
He rolls over to the table and picks up his earlier piece of work. Hailey's no mechanic, but she gets a very strange feeling in the force that something is horribly wrong with that "chronometer".
"Your question about who told me only confirms my suspicions that you did, in fact, steal it. But we will resolve that later." Â He finishes his work, and screws his chest plate back in, with the new equipment inside.
"For now, I need to be able to interface directly with another droid, or the ship's computer as a reference to calibrate my chronometer."

Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
Jowmum fails to find any malicious AI, spyware, or programs with his active scans. It appears that the ship's computer is uninfected.
Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
"How about this atomic time piece?" Hailey pulls a tiny atomic watch from her belt. "Always set to the capital's standard time on Imperial Center, and cannot be tampered with. I don't recommend interfacing with either the ship's computer or our droid, as one of them recently had it's chronometer compromised and both are currently indisposed. Hand me your chronometer, and I'll set it for you."
Besides, I don't want whatever malware you intend to put on it getting into anything else.

Scan Complete. No unusual readings.
Jowmum then puts a lockout on the computer's registry, so no programs can be added or removed, and another one on the computer itself for an extra layer of protection.
If anyone tries to get in, all they will get is the time, and a bunch of cute cat pictures.

"Of course. That will work." 3D-4k reaches his arm toward his chest to retrieve the "chronometer". A compartment pops open, and deposits something in his hand. Hailey finds herself staring into the barrel of a firmly gripped and impeccably leveled disruptor pistol.
"I really was hoping it wouldn't come to this. Turn over the cred chips and no one gets hurt."

Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
[You do realize that putting a lockdown ot the ships computer will make all the controls and peripheral systems cease to function? The ship's computer is the central "brain" that by necessity must have communication with the peripheral systems of the ship. Locking it down makes it unable to query those systems, or to send commands to them. Please tell me Jowmum knows this.]
Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
[Jowmum could achieve what he wants by manually disabling every interfacing port in the ship. This leaves the computer able to communicate with the ships systems, but keeps anyone else from getting in. But that may not be such a good idea either, because doing so will also lock Jowmum himself out. Until the ports are reconnected]

Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
As Jowmum turns to leave the cockpit, the ship jolts enough for everyone to lose their balance. Jowmum smacks his head against the door.
Maybe I should make an exception for ship's systems.
He then locks down all the computer ports except in the cockpit and lets ship's systems interface again. The ship stabilizes.

Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
(Semi OOC: Since as soon as Hailey saw the blaster -- BTW, GM, I would think that Hailey knows a blaster from a watch when she sees one -- she was preparing to distract the droid with a lie, then turn and bash him against the wall with one wide swing. Ergo, she was bracing herself for sudden rapid movement when the ship was jolted from JM's shenanigans.)
The ship jolts and everyone on board is either toppled to the ground or knocked against a bulkhead, except Hailey who was merely jostled, though she wasn't expecting it, like when you're standing between the edge and middle of a trampoline and someone jumps onto it from behind you. She trips, but recovers more quickly than 3D-4K and uses the force to fling him against the wall as hard as she can. Ishwarr comes into the workroom and roars, doubling Hailey's adrenaline as she pulls out her blaster to shoot that treacherous assemblage of scrap.

Re: Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda
Jowmum hears blaster fire and tussling in the back. He crankes up his vocalizer so loud enough to be heard from in back over the ship's systems which are still calming down from their lapse in input.
IS EVERYTHING ALL RIGHT BACK THERE?!?
He does not add yelling inflections to his voice. (1 strain)
