Session 12:Quarran terrorist aftermath

I take a brief break to walk to the crane and climb up to the operator. I gave a little wave to get his attention and ask sweetly.
Hey, could you do me a favor and fish the big fuzzball out of the water before he gets eaten?
My eyes glint betraying the mischief I just thought up.
Bonus points if you're sneaky enough to make him think he can use the Force to fly.

The dim light of the setting sun, Ami's warning of glowing sharks, the general silence of a tractor beam crane, every factor seems to aid my ploy.

The crane operator seems suspicious at first, but nods and starts it up as Ami comes closer. The crane lets out a loud beep that can be heard across the dock, then a bright search light sweeps across the waters until it finds Ishwarr and the crate. "Who threw that **** box out there!? That's a $$$ fine for littering!" The laser of the tractor beam switches on, and the water logged Wookie is slowly dragged back to the dock.

As Ishwarr is on his way, Ami stands beside Tali. "Between you and me, there are no glowing sharks on Mon Calamari. I made that up so maybe he'll stay out of the water and not be eaten by the Kraken." She gives several credits to the crane operator.

Having finished his current room, Jowmum decides to have a little revenge fun and plays off the glowing shark trick. He programs the auto pilot on the sub to assist in his prank.

*Ishwarr POV* The sweet kelp teases Ishwarr from just out of reach as he maintains his hold on the barrel while it bobs up and down in the salt water. In the distance, a light under the waves is slowly approaching. The fib about glowsharks comes vividly to mind as it creeps up on him. Panic clutches his mind and he doesn't notice the spotlight locking onto him. He wills himself away from the approaching creature as the tractor starts pulling him in. Nevertheless, the glow makes progress on him and it comes and brushes his leg. The jolt startles Ishwarr out of the water (as the crane lifts him out of said water) and he flies back to the dock still clutching his crate. The glow circles two and a half more times before making a dive and disappearing. (The sub returns after terminating its lights.)

Jowmum goes back to work in the ship after watching his handiwork unfold.

That should teach him to abandon projects.

Boris Staggers out of his buck room and takes survey of the situation. Not seeing anything that requires his immediate attention he starts calming his mind and starts gathering the emotions around him.

Hailey appears out of her room suddenly, holding a tooth brush and floss. She sees Boris looking around. "Can I help you?"

..."You could tell me if you have seen any inquisitors?"
Boris is clearly shaken.
"Sorry I had a bad dream."

Hailey starts to shake her head in confusion, but remembers something. "Come to think of it, I have. But they were not the ones you're probably thinking of, and they weren't looking for you."

The tractor beam suddenly releases Isshwar, still flailing madly, onto the pier. He lands hard. After a couple seconds, he gets up with a grin on his face and begins flapping his arms wildly again. When his antics fail to achieve flight, the grin fades and a confused look comes over his face.

The look of confusion fades to contemplation. Ishwarr rounds on Boris. "It was you!" (Can't code on my phone will update color later).

"Oh this is not going to end well."
Boris remarks carefully.

'You saved me!" Ishwarr runs to envelope Boris in a wookie hug.

"You are inhibiting my ability to inhale Ishwarr"
Boris gasps out.

Mechanical facepalm.

Jowmum goes back to finishing up with cleaning up the ship.

Ishwarr releases Boris. "IthoughttheJediwerejustafairytaletheHuttstoldustomakeusbehavebuttheforceis realthatwasamazingwhatelsecanyoudo?" The ululation is a single, long, word. Boris's translator takes a full minute after the wookie stops speaking to decipher it.

About this time a Mon-Calamari  shipyards security attendant approaches Tali'k. 

"I'm sorry, but we are closing our facility to customers for the evening. Only authorized Dac Shipworks Personell. I assure you, for a nominal charge, your ship will be well guarded and looked after until your return tomorrow.

"Since you are new here, you may be unaware of the nightly curfew. Visitors and locals without a work authorization permit are required to be indoors by 2100 Hours Galactic Standard Time. Or in.. [She glances at her chronometer] approximately one hour from now. I imagine security may be a little more on edge than usual to newcomers out after curfew. It is rare for the Quarren to be so bold. I believe there is a hotel a few blocks from here. Mon Calamari Shipyards thanks you for your business. Have a pleasant night. "

Boris's mastery of Wookie is enough that he gets the gist.
"I am not a Jedi! I am a Researcher! Someone just used a tractor beam wisk you out of the water."
Boris replies using all of his force powers to enforce this Idea.

"Oh" Ishwarr looks deflated.

Ami, who was still beside the tractor crane, yawns and heads for the ship.

Jowmum goes and plugs into a computer terminal and looks for accommodations for the group. He books two rooms for the night at Owen's Oceanic Enclave. 100 credits each. He also pays for a meal ticket each for a local diner. 50 credits/ea. After syncing his chronometer to whatever authority the curfew officers use, he pulls out and reports the evening's reservations over comm.

I've booked us a place for the night. <address, directions> Ami, see about checking us in. Everyone else, help me get these evaporators set up for the night (That includes you, Ishwarr). I've set an alarm so we can make it there if we hurry once it goes off.

He then sets the cleaning equipment to automatic, and sets a mental timer for long enough so he can make it in on time.
