Session 10: Back to Nar Shadda

Jowmum goes off to his spot to meditate and zen himself out before taking on the project tomorrow.

Hailey holds the translation bracelet to her ear while Ishwarr talks to her. "Oh really? I haven't seen you shedding all over the place. Wookies aren't the only folks who got hair, you know. Boris does the dishes all the time, not to mention most of the cooking, and I have never once found anyone's hair on my dishes or in my food." She starts washing the dishes.

Well, there was that one time I found a piece of my hair in the bread dough, but I pulled it out long before it was baked, and I didn't hear anyone complain about finding any more...

"And I really wouldn't worry about breaking the dishes if I were you, that is if you can still hold a crayon without breaking it."

After the dishes are finished, I present Ishvaar with a small box of reformed crayons. They are more or less a single color, with occasional streaks running down the side from a piece of another that got in the mix.
Be careful where you leave these big guy. Sorry, Hailey, I'm not really in the mood for "sticky".
I exit the mess.

Hailey sighs. But after everyone leaves the kitchen, she get started making popcorn balls for everyone. For glue, she uses a combination of peanut butter and fruit syrup, so that when the treats are done and in the freezer, the sugar will crystallize and harden. She'll be busy in the kitchen for the next hour.

A single light betrays that Jowmum is not quite in low power mode.

( ishwarr is exiting the kitchen) "bye hailey if u need me im playing on the dejarik table ".

"Have fun Ishwarr." Hailey re-inspects the other frying pan and determines that she can in fact use it. She smiles and prepares to use them both to make popcorn.

I try to get comfortable on my bed, but the pillow keeps crackling...

Hailey comes into their room holding a small bowel of the leftover popcorn and a bag of munch fungus. "Tali? Oh good, you're still up. Here, have a midnight snack."

(ishwarr tired goes to his room where he snores really loud all most as loud as yelling .) "zzZZZ RR grrH".

Ishwarr's snoring starts reverberating all throughout the ship It interferes with Jowmum's meditations.

*growing static*

Inner peace...

*stAtIC*

(snoring just grows louder and obnoxious)

A Zenned out Jowmum awakens and heads for Ishwarr's room. He opens the door and corrects the poor Wookie's airway without waking him up. The snoring quickly stops and Jowmum leaves as silently as he came. He returns to meditation.

Boris stays on watch in the cockpit while everyone sleeps.

Upon waking up, Hailey stretches and finds a random coin at the corner of her bunk. Puzzled, she stashes it with her other money and resolves to count it later.

Jowmum's eye activates. He rolls out of his alcove in full on Zen mode. He makes his way to the cockpit where Boris has fallen asleep while on watch.

It is almost time. You should get thyself ready.

"Ready for what my friend."
Boris says his hand hovering on the alarm. A slim smile on his face.
"Please tell me that you not going to do something stupid. You have to be a lot quieter if you wish to sneak up on me."

Jowmum gestures at the laptop and 3D's hard drive.

"I asked you not to tell me you were about do something stupid. There were three contingencies for you being allowed to work on the information. One Everyone had to be well rested. Two You had to get the captains permission not Mine. Three I have spent several hours pouring over this data and I am even less comfortable letting a droid manipulate this data. I am very tempted to call my aunt see what she can tell me. Now tell me do you think that you are more qualified to work on this data then a Team of Bothan data specialists? How about Rodian? I await your reply."
Boris shuts down his datapad flushing the data he had been looking at before Jowmum could look at it.

(ishwarr wakes and heads to the kitchen )

I was under the impression the Hutts would be more likely to forget about us if we got this information before we reported back to them.

Jowmum's voice is rather flat.

Boris mulls it over for a second.
"...Actually that would show some competence. Not something that would make us entirely forgettable. I am more worried about someone trying this again I would like to have a defence against it. Especially given the marked changes in your behaviour since you started working on it"
Boris leans back stretching.
"The Hutt is most likely to write off everything as loss at this point and even if we did get 3D operational he would probably get tortured for his disloyalty. I don't mind giving what data we have to the Hutt but I would prefer not to hand someone who got their brain hacked to torture."
Boris stares at the stars, listening hum of the engine.

Ishwarr finds Hailey in the kitchen, beginning the process of making oatmeal. When she heard him coming, she put a large pencil and some paper on the dining table. "Good Morning."

She still has Boris's translation bracelet.

"good morning.ooh thx for the pen and paper". (ishwarr smiles big showing his yellow teeth with food from previous meals stuck between them.)

Hailey tries not to show her disgust with Ishwarr's apparent lack of personal hygiene. "Out of curiosity, Ishwarr, do you have a toothbrush?"
