Boris Miles

Race: Bothan

Riskyr Eshka'vys was born to a couple in the Uvys Clan. A Jedi stationed near his home noticed his connection to the force. Less than a year later Order 66 was issued. The Jedi in question told Riskyr's family to hide until he could figure out what was happening. They hid in the underworld of [insert planet] but were captured by slavers when he was 6. What happened to that Jedi is unknown.
He was eventually bought by an elderly historian named Telvak Miles who adopted him and changed his name to Boris Miles. When he was 18 he heard some news about the location of his parents. Over the mild protests of Telvak he took his limited funds and tried to track and free his parents. Along the way he met Corbin Dalus a light hearted Twi'lek mercenary who had "business" with the individuals holding Boris's parents. Boris tagged along interested in what he was doing.
When Corbin confronted the gang lord, the gang lord was not interested in negotiating with Corbin's organization and was attempted to take him and Boris prisoner. They stunned Boris but Corbin escaped, which was exactly the plan. Boris was taken to be conditioned and then sold into slavery. Boris carried with him a small com device so that Corbin could more easily infiltrate and navigate their facility. Boris was reunited with his family in the detention center, much to his parent's dismay. Corbin broke in and rescued Boris and several other slaves, including his family, and set the place to explode. On the way way out the group encountered heavy resistance forcing Corbin to reveal his lightsaber, much to Boris's parent's delight,  to defend and expedite door opening. All the way to the landing strip the gang chased them. When the group came to the landing strip, Corbin told Boris and the others to board the the craft and get ready to take off he would hold off the the oncoming attackers and meet them in once the ship was started. Unfortunately, while he drawing fire a stray shot detonated one of the fuel barrels detonating it and killing Corbin.
On the way to the researchers world his parents told him about his "destiny" to be a Jedi. Once safe the former slaves left. His parents stayed with the Telvak and encouraged Boris to find his way to be trained. So Boris left with to look for knowledge about the force masquerading as student doing his thesis in ancient cultures and their effects on the present.
He discovered as he travelled that The gang had put a price on his head for his involvement 71000 bounty had been placed on his head.

Boris Miles has a travel stipend for "research" and I would have liked to have been travelling with for about a year if that is fine. I am more interested in finding a low profile pilot so as to not attract the attention of the Crime group trying to hunt him down.

OK. After talking with you on Facebook, here's what we go with. You and R4-I1 AKA Jowmum hire passage from Coruscant to Formos aboard Tali's ship.

You and Jowmum will need to pay some credits to Tali. I'll let you guys role play it. But the transfer should be real. It will reduce your obligations by 1 to 5, depending on how much you pay. Or increase your obligation by a similar amount if you choose to do an IOU/loan/repayment plan...

I refer you to the first sentence on p. 99. of character creation. At this point, that manifests for your character as the price of your fare.

Currently, Jowmum has found you passage for 150 credits and claims it is a bargain. If you want to dispute that, you better get over to the role playing thread ASAP!

Boris has an aunt on Bothawui who runs a data business. She is known as the matron.

Boris grew up on Castell and lived there until his family was found. At which point Telvak moved them to the relatively safe world of Correllia accepting a teaching position at the university after Boris annoyed the Zann Consortium.
