We are still alive right? And Oovo IV was because are ship had been taken over by pirates and I need a place to get rid of them. Yes we were detained for a little bit but it is much better than trying to find a the person who placed the bounty on them half way across the galaxy."
Boris pauses then realizes what Talik is doing.
"Talik hold on I think that we are fairly safe right now as long as we stay out of the fighting. It might be a good idea to ask about our "passenger" and get paid before we leave."

After getting Boris' attention again,

And all this time, I thought it was a fancy way to get me to see the single most... interesting podrace still being held in the galaxy. They aren't as common as they once were, you know. You did get a goldmine of interviews done while you were there, so, even from your point of view, it couldn't have been all that much of a loss.

Huh, I didn't think Jow would answer queries on a FILO basis. For claiming to be a wookie, that's a rather computer answer.

"There is a galaxy of difference between being forcibly detained and loosing aforementioned notes while being questioned about my alleged rebel, pirate, or bounty hunter  ties for 8 weeks with intermediate cavity searches and the field of research I am interested in you indefinable intelligence. I lost 6 months of research because you had to access the main computer while I was turning over the prisoners. I had job offers from 12 various Rebel factions, 18 pirates, and one particularly determined bounty hunter if I would break them out when I did. Eventually it was cleared but it cost nearly all of my travel expenses for the year. So all in all I think the blame for that excursion lies on your head.
Point of View:
Boris was actually there to talk to that bounty hunter but ended up incarcerated on suspicion of attempting a break out. Once it was cleared up and a hefty bribe paid He was allowed to leave and attempt to reconstruct his research notes.

The podrace we attended while we were there was worth it, though. Tickets to the Boonta Classic have gone to ten times what we paid, with the whole ban on the sport and all, and it doesn't have nearly so much interest in the track design. Besides, if I hadn't accessed the main computer in the first place, that malfunctioning security drone would have used your face as a dartboard.

"I am pretty sure that prison seats are free. RIght that drone just happened to malfunction just when you accessed the computer."
Boris snickers
"Anyway Stop bringing up the past infront of strangers."
He motions toward the Wookie.

Jowmum mumbles something so only Boris hears, but was porobably meant not to be heard at all,

I only accessed the computer AFTER that drone went haywire.

He follows Boris.

Hailey pokes her head around the corner and looks at Boris. "You've at least got to tell me if you dealt with the ugly guard with the six arms, all muscle, no sense of humor, and a fleeting notion that the sense of smell is a myth. Was he ok? Or did he have to invest in some bionics? But don't worry about it if you didn't go there within the last three years."

Boris, forgive me.

Jowmum's head spins toward Hailey.

He had actually taken up racing by the time we were there. He had a bet with one of the inmates for that race. I don't suppose it matters, since they both had some serious encounters with chunks of ore in the anti-gravity conveyor belts. Neither of them survived.

Hailey takes a step back, somewhat surprised. "Well, I guess I wouldn't put it past him. After all, you don't have to know someone very well to need them to get their wretched smelling carcass out of your way. All I really wanted to know was if the prison physician was able to re-grow his left shoulders."

So THAT is why he had that array of computer jacks there! He never could seem to keep any secret but that one. His story kept changing, it would seem.

Wait a minute?! How did you know about Lil' Ironsides?

Hailey fails to completely suppress a blush. "It's simple. He was in my way, and refused to be a gentleman and let me past."

You weren't that one who tried grabbing his exposed precious from his quarters and eating it with a spork, were you?

"What? No! I didn't have anything to do with that! I know as much about that now as I did then! Actually I was there on more personal matters; My cousin Martin bet me a moon base that I couldn't get the Warden's account and pin numbers before roll-call. I was well on my way to getting them when that hideous brute saw me and..." tried to take me on a date with him, by force mind you. "Well, let's just say we had a brief discussion, followed by an argument, then I told him to get out of my way, and he refused. So I... tried to throw him out the window."

Sounds like a failed first date, to me. Poor Guy.

"No it's not! Come back here!" Hailey catches and stops Jowmum. "I mean it, trash can. Where's your reset button? If you must retell it to anyone, don't tell them it was me. Tell them it was Sarah."
