Alright, alright, the Liberator of Droidkind can have his full name. I need to check the cargo.
Tali leaves the room.

Everyone goes to bed. Jowmum spends the night designing a virtual machine to reach out into the holonet with. He presents it over breakfast.

Actually paying attention, Tali notices a couple mathematical flaws, but realizes their designed to create infinite loops to keep the AI occupied.
Wow, that's actually, pretty well thought out. Nice job Jow. Make sure you add an external exit code on those infinite loops, or it won't have enough cycles to answer your questions.

It took me a while to figure out how to make it think it is still connected to the holonet, and I still haven't done so yet, but I can train up a response by allowing it access to the real holonet while I am still in the environment I catch it in. The thing is, I don't even know if it will expect anything from the holonet, so that feature would be useless.

Jowmum flashes a few external lights for a second, then adds,

Come to think of it, in a perfect galaxy, we could find another astromech who has lost its personality, or doesn't have one yet, and eventually move the trap to that body. I know, I know, that would be too expensive, so I designed the VM to run on a variable system time to real time ratio. When I want to take my time to think (or we are taking part in an unplanned, high sped parade) I just slow the VM down and put the AI in stasis.

Jowmum resists the urge to throw up a wall of illustrated text to Hailey. She still sees the wall Tali is studying, though.
Good morning.

Hailey give JM a nod, then sits down next to Boris. She looks at his pitiful excuse for a letter. "If I were your family, I would not want a report of all your latest cultural observations. Try something more along the lines of, 'Dear Mom and Dad,' instead of 'To my parents,'."

"Then call them what you usually call them." Hailey takes a sip of orange juice an winces. "Yak! What sewer watered the farm this came from?" She glares at the cup and takes it to the garbage disposal.

Jowmum turns his attention to Hailey and gives her a five minute lecture on how plants filter any sewage and use it to make it taste even better.

In conclusion: probably a sewer with very little nutrition for the trees. Try adding a spoonful of sugar.

I wonder what the old Jedi temple is going to look like?

"Probably just like every other old temple I've seen." Hailey sits down at the table again with water this time. "I used to raid old temples of various religions before I got bored of them. Any temple worth raiding was almost always armed to the gills with booby-traps, and many of the not so worth it ones as well."

"Several, in fact. Mostly on uninhabited worlds. There was an entire system where the habitable planet was filled with ancient temples and tombs, and we considered it a training ground. Never been to a Jedi temple before, though."

Of course, it could also be some squatter who has no regard for that religion, a cult who believes their gods to be some sort of glass cannon, the god in question acting in wrath against intruders, aliens from another dimension...

"It could also be a culture who didn't want their oh-so-sacred artifacts stolen and sold to the highest bidder. In some few particular cases, it could of course only be a band of old, retired thieves making it harder on the next generation. Thieves who also have no regard for that deceased religion."
