Session 1: Formos Empty Session 1: Formos

Exiting hyperspace, the hastily formed "crew" is greeted with a desert planet, pocked with craters and scarred with canyons. Whatever water carved the canyons had dried up long ago, as the only sign of life is the single space port and surrounding slums.

Okay trying not to judge a book by its cover here, but this is not the bustling trade hub Yaro made it out to be.

Getting clearance for landing was so casual I felt like I was annoying them. We landed and upon opening the main doors, Hailey seemed instantly parched. She took off in a desperate search for water, though there was plenty on the ship. Boris and Jowmum approached a group of stormtroopers who should have been patrolling the port, but were engaged in a game of Sabat. Tali went looking the job board, hoping for some decent cargo. However, there was not even a noted nailed to a wall to be found.

We regrouped at the ship, discussed what we found. Apparently Hailey was pickpocketed while over paying for water. Boris found that the only place worth looking for information is "the" cantina. Jowmum dug up some old map, and said he'd figured out the way there. I locked the ship, but Jow decided to add an extra layer of security based on Hailey's unfortunate loss.

On our way to the cantina we hear a weak voice calling for help in an alley. Hailey and Boris continued to the cantina while Jow and Tali couldn't pass up the pitiful moan. They found a broken and battered protocol droid in a trash compactor.

Tali began a sort of mechanical first aid. She carefully disconnected the many wire that were causing shorts, and used any that were still intact to keep the main processor, audio sensors and speech synthesizer operating.

While she did that Jow queried about what happened. Apparently some mob boss with an overly-complicated name sent his goons to capture this protocol droid's R4 model companion. He was left for scrap a couple hours ago and has no idea where they are now. Jow feels compelled to re-unite the two, and Tali (hating to see things broken) puts whatever pieces she can find on a hover-pallet and takes JP, the protocol droid, to her ship for proper repair.

On board, Tali shifts some containers around to make a passable workbench. She plugs the droids internal components to a charging station. Then begins the arduous task of disassembly. Carefully she works on each limb; removing plating, straightening bent rods, patching cables, placing a few severely damaged pistons and servos to the side for replacement.
Eventually her com-link alerts her to an incoming transmission, JM is calling for assistance, but before I can put down my tools he cancels the request. Tali assumes they have it handled and continues working on JP.
You must have taken quite the beating, but fortunately its mostly structural damage. Your circuits seem in tact, and I've minimized further damage to them by disconnecting the shorting wires. Give me a few minutes to straighten the bent chassis, and I can start re-assembling you.

Were JP not in low power mode, he might have thanked her.
Hopefully the owner will be thankful enough to pay for the repairs.

Swinging away with the induction mallet, Tali daydreams about what sort of cargo her crew will bring.

Incident Report: Jowmum "R4-I1"
Date:<Correct Date>
Planet: Formos

This is my first report after Boris and I started traveling <---mug shot--->
with Tali, a new pilot in the galaxy. She scored a stow- <--of captain-->
away her first trip. The landing pad announced it's soon <-------------->
close for inspection, so we took off in a hurry and made <-------------->
a wrong hyperspace jump. She scored a well paying stowaway, who tried
paying with some questionably attained merchandise. It <---mug shot--->
turns out we located a new Hyperspace shortcut in the <-of stowaway->
mean time. Stowaway was identified as notorious thief  <--------------->
known as the Wraith. She calls herself Haily.                 <--------------->

<Formos orbital> Our approach to Formos went according to standard.
<----view---->  Uppon disembarking, Haily gave into thirst and grabbed
<-------------> some water from the first dealer she could find, ignoring
<-------------> any she already paid for as part of her passage on the
ship. We soon encountered a dying protocol droid in a   <-----crime----->
garbage compactor. He tipped us off to his friend's ab- <-----scene----->
duction. He started going unresponsive, but Tali and I  <---with J9 B8--->
stabilized him Tali took him back to the ship to finish his<--------------->
repair.

We had a run in with some thugs in the local watering hole. We found they
were working for Bandin Dobah, a space pirate who has <---mug shot--->
been hijacking smugglers' shipments locally. He's got a  <--of the thugs-->
collection of bounties haunting him. The empire wants  <---------------->
him dead or alive. The hutts will pay more, but he must<---------------->
be alive. I got a reading on the missing R4 unit, but the thugs were already
on to us. They started a firefight. After seeing my life flash before my eye,
I decided to sneak past them while Boris distracted them by charging. I
Signaled to Tali on board the ship, but canceled the distress after It the
situation was under control. I am now heading for the missing R4 unit and
will wait for the backup of the rest of the group after re-requesting Tali as
some nonemergency backup.

End of File

Hailey looks at her burned and blistering hands, "Owe," and carefully stands up without pushing against the ground. She removes the under priced over rated water jug from her belt and pours what little water was left, that which she hadn't guzzled right away, over her fingers. I hope I don't get an infection.
If you hadn't stayed with this band of saps, you wouldn't be in trouble right now... The dark thought trails off, but before it goes, Hailey recognizes it, catches it, and stashes it in a mental jar for later expulsion. The truth was, she had accidentally used the dark side of the force once or twice before, but she'd had her father to help her through those aftershocks. She wasn't entirely sure what to do about it now, though. Keeping it contained was the best she could do for now.

She can't wait to see the look on Talik's face when her hastily assembled crew comes back looking like they do now.
